Legal
Last updated July 15, 2026
These terms govern your use of NotaryBoard. They're written to be read, not to be impenetrable — but they are a binding agreement, so please actually read them.
NotaryBoard is operated by 247 Closers LLC, a New Jersey limited liability company ("NotaryBoard", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you're agreeing on behalf of a company, you represent that you have authority to bind it, and "you" means that company.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data and is part of this agreement.
You need an account to use NotaryBoard. Keep your login credentials secure — you're responsible for what happens under your account. Give us accurate information and keep it current. You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter into contracts.
NotaryBoard is a scheduling and dispatch tool. It shows agencies the free/busy availability of notaries who have connected with them, lets agencies send signing requests, and lets notaries accept or decline. When a notary accepts, we place a hold event on their connected calendar.
That's the whole of it. NotaryBoard is not a notary service, a signing service, a staffing agency, or an escrow service.
Trial. New agencies get a 14-day trial with full access to every feature. No card required. When it ends, you fall back to Starter-level access unless you subscribe.
Plans. Starter ($39/month), Pro ($129/month), and Agency ($299/month), each with the limits described on our pricing page. Prices are USD and exclude tax.
Billing. Subscriptions bill monthly in advance and renew automatically until cancelled. Payment is handled by Stripe under their terms; we never see your card details. If a charge fails, we may suspend access until it clears.
Cancelling. Cancel anytime from the billing page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid period — you keep access until then. We don't give partial refunds for unused time, though if something has gone genuinely wrong, email us and we'll deal with you fairly.
Price changes. We may change pricing with at least 30 days' notice before it affects your renewal.
Don't:
We may suspend or terminate accounts that do these things, and where it's serious we'll do it without notice.
You own your data. Signing details, profile information, and the calendar data you connect remain yours. You grant us only the licence needed to run the service for you: to store it, display it to the people you've connected with, and process it as the Privacy Policy describes.
We own NotaryBoard. The software, design, and branding are ours. These terms don't give you any right to copy or reuse them.
Feedback you send us, we can use freely and without obligation.
We work to keep NotaryBoard available, but we don't promise a specific uptime. We'll need to take it down for maintenance sometimes, and third parties we depend on — Google, Microsoft, Stripe, our hosting — have their own outages. Calendar availability syncs periodically rather than instantly, so it can lag reality by a few minutes.
We may add, change, or remove features. If we remove something significant that you rely on, we'll give reasonable notice.
You can stop using NotaryBoard and close your account at any time — email us and we'll delete it. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms, if your payment fails persistently, or if we're required to by law. If we terminate you without cause, we'll refund any prepaid, unused subscription time.
The sections on data, disclaimers, liability, indemnity, and governing law survive termination.
NotaryBoard is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that availability data will be accurate or current at any given moment.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, NotaryBoard and 247 Closers LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost business, or missed closings, arising out of or related to your use of the service — even if we were advised such damages were possible. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of these terms is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) one hundred US dollars ($100).
Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so parts of the above may not apply to you. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, or for anything else that can't lawfully be limited.
You'll defend and indemnify us against claims, damages, and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of NotaryBoard, your breach of these terms, your violation of law, or any dispute between you and another user — including any dispute between an agency and a notary over work arranged through the service.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New Jersey, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects your rights, we'll give notice by email or in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use NotaryBoard after that means you accept the new terms. If you don't, stop using the service and cancel.
