NotaryBoard

FAQ

Questions about NotaryBoard

What it is, what it costs, and exactly what an agency can — and can't — see on a notary's calendar.

What is NotaryBoard?

NotaryBoard is scheduling and dispatch software for title and settlement agencies. It shows an agency the real free/busy availability of the notaries they already work with, filtered by coverage area, and lets them send a signing request that a notary accepts from their phone.

Does NotaryBoard provide notaries?

No. NotaryBoard is not a marketplace, staffing service, or signing service — it never supplies notaries. Agencies invite and manage their own notaries. If you need a signing service that provides vetted notaries, that's our sister company, 247 Closers.

How much does NotaryBoard cost?

Plans are priced per agency: Starter $39/month (2 seats, up to 10 connected notaries), Pro $129/month (5 seats, unlimited notaries, mass requests, SMS), and Agency $299/month (10+ seats, multiple office branches). Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial with full access to every feature — no credit card required.

Is NotaryBoard free for notaries?

Yes — free forever. Notaries never pay. Agencies pay for the scheduling tools.

What can an agency see on a notary's calendar?

One thing: free or busy. NotaryBoard syncs free/busy status only — never event titles, locations, attendees, or any other details. Agencies see when a notary is booked, never what they're doing.

Which calendars does NotaryBoard support?

Google Calendar and Microsoft 365 / Outlook. Apple Calendar support is planned.

How do notaries join?

By invitation — an agency sends an invite or shares a connect code. The notary accepts, links their calendar, and sets the counties they cover. Setup is self-serve.

What happens when an agency dispatches a signing?

The request goes to one notary or a filtered pool. Notaries are notified and accept or decline from their phone — the first to accept wins the signing, and NotaryBoard automatically places a hold on their calendar. If the signing is cancelled, the hold is removed.

Does NotaryBoard handle in-office signings?

Yes. A signing can be at the signer's location (the notary travels) or in-office, where the signer comes to one of the agency's offices.

Who makes NotaryBoard?

NotaryBoard is operated by 247 Closers LLC, the company behind the 247 Closers notary signing service. The team built NotaryBoard after years of watching title officers phone and text down a list just to find an available notary.
